FAQ
Are visits to Sweet Medicine covered by OHIP?
Visits to the MD’s for services covered by the public insurance plan are paid for by OHIP. All other services are billed to the patient directly, or, where applicable, to the patient’s insurance plan.
Are the MD’s at Sweet Medicine taking on new patients?
No, both Dr. Sichler and Dr. Rogers’ practices are full.
Can I get in to see one of the other practitioners without first seeing an MD?
Yes, absolutely! Each practitioner at Sweet Medicine has their own independent practice, and you can arrange to see them by contacting our staff and booking an appointment.
What is the difference between and Naturopath and a Homeopath?
A Naturopath practices Naturopathic Medicine, which can be thought of as being like a general practitioner of natural medicine. Some Naturopaths learn how to use homeopathy as part of their training. A Homeopath trains more in depth in homeopathy, which is a simple but effective medicine that uses small traces of a substance to resolve symptoms.
Are people who do things other than MD-medicine quacks?
Not the ones that I know and work with. Many of them have studied for many years, internally and externally, to learn to do what they do, and are systematic, rigorous practitioners regulated by their respective boards. And all bring years of experience to their approach to patients.
